Lynn Michiko Tashiro is the Director for the Center for Teaching and Learning at California State University, Sacramento. She is a Professor of Physics and has also served as the Director of First Year Experience Programs. Her current work includes developing professional and faculty development programs for instruction, academic technology, data analytics, learning assessment, and equity. She graduated from Stanford University with a Ph.D. in Applied Physics and has worked in private industry in engineering and international laser sales and marketing. Dr. Tashiro has written and served as the Principal Investigator on several state, federal, and private education and research grants from agencies such as the National Science Foundation and the U.S. Department of Education. Dr.Tashiro is a Fulbright Scholar with a focus on faculty professional development, science education, and institutional change for equity.
