Tanesia Beverly, PhD

Dr. Tanesia Beverly is a Measurement Fellow in the Assessment Sciences department at the Law School Admission Council (LSAC). At LSAC, her research focuses on how test-takers interact with digital testing platforms, developing non-cognitive assessments, and technical and practical issues in large-scale testing. Dr. Beverly's research on test-taking behaviors such as rapid-guessing, pacing, and test speededness has led to national and regional conference presentations. Dr. Beverly earned her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology with a concentration in Research methodology, measurement, and evaluation from the University of Connecticut. Her dissertation research focused on modeling the relationship between pacing and achievement on timed tests. Additionally, Dr. Beverly holds a Master's in Public Administration from the University of Akron and a BA in Criminal Justice from Lincoln University of PA. Before entering her Ph.D. program, she worked with at-risk youth in the capacity of Case Manager, Behavioral Health Worker, and Juvenile Probation Officer in Philadelphia, PA.
